Group trying to emigrate to Bangladesh arrested

Security forces detained 10 people apparently trying to emigrate to Bangladesh on Monday evening near the demarcation fence in Maungtaw township, according to the State Counsellor Office’s Information Committee. 

A security clearance was being conducted by troops with torch lights when the group was discovered. Authorities said the 10 people will be investigated in accord with the rule of law, it is learnt.
